STRONGER PEOPLE
STRONGER COMMUNITIES!
As VANA Sports Association, we see sport not only as a physical activity but as a powerful tool that can transform lives. Through sport, we aim to help individuals build resilience, strengthen communities, and lead healthier lives. We work to create meaningful, inclusive, and inspiring sporting opportunities for people of all ages. Because we believe that sport brings people together and helps build a stronger society.

Encouraging participation in sports by organizing regular activities and events that promote fitness, health, and well-being.
OUR GOALS

Creating inclusive opportunities for people from different cultural, social, and economic backgrounds to come together through sports.

Educating communities about the physical and mental health benefits of active living.

Building partnerships and networks at local, national, and European levels to strengthen collaboration in sports, education, and health projects.

Supporting youth development by using sport as a tool to build confidence, leadership skills, teamwork, and positive social values.
We have already taken steps to promote active living and community engagement through sports. Our activities so far have primarily focused on local initiatives that encourage participation, inclusion, and awareness of the benefits of physical activity. We have organized three local workshops aimed at introducing healthy habits and accessible sports activities to our community:
“Run for Well-being” was a practical session designed to motivate participants to incorporate regular running and outdoor exercise into their daily routines. The workshop included basic running techniques and discussions on how physical activity can improve mental health.
“Fitness for Everyone” was an inclusive fitness workshop offering simple, equipment-free exercises for people of different ages and abilities. The focus was on creating an enjoyable and supportive environment to promote physical health.
“Nutrition and Sports” was an educational session that combined practical advice on balanced diets with interactive discussions on how proper nutrition enhances athletic performance and overall well-being.
In addition to these local initiatives, VANA Sports Association has taken part in several online seminars and webinars organized by European networks and NGOs in the field of sports and health. For example, we joined sessions on “Mental Health and Physical Activity in Youth Work”, which explored how sports can support emotional resilience among young people, and “Innovative Practices for Inclusive Sports”, where we learned about strategies to engage individuals from diverse backgrounds in physical activities.
Through these activities, we have gained experience in planning and implementing community-based sports initiatives.
